Cheadle Remembers the War Horse

Commemoration | Cheadle Market Square
Dates From | 09 Aug 2015 to 09 Aug 2015

In August 1914 a number of Cheadle horses were requisitioned by the Government for use in the Great War. This year the Cheadle Discovery Group and it’s partners, the Cheadle Town Council, British Legion and Historical Society will be marking the historical event with an afternoon of events.

Horses will be gathered on Cheadle’s Market Square, so a picture from 1914 can be recreated. Other activities are to be confirmed.
