Discover more about the people behind the headlines of the events of World War 1 at this one day conference at City Central Library.

Presentations will include the stories of Belgium refugees in Staffordshire, the local community around Trentham and the soldiers of Cannock Chase. You will hear how their experiences have been reflected through poetry and performance with contributions from Tom Wyre (Staffordshire Poet Laureate 2014-2015) and Kathy Leahi (Imagineer).

There will also be the opportunity to view the Staffordshire Appeal Tribunals travelling exhibition produced by Staffordshire Record Office.
